ABOUT US
NORTHEAST
EXPLORER is a magazine and website devoted to outdoor travel
and adventure in the Northeast. Our magazine is currently
published three times a year, while our website is updated
several times each weekday with news, videos and events.
No place in
North America has the diversity of outdoor opportunities
that we enjoy in the Northeast. Our region offers everyone
the chance to experience virtually any outdoor sport ─ from
whitewater kayaking to skiing to mountain biking to surfing
─ and all within a day's drive. To that end, Northeast
Explorer is dedicated to covering the activities,
people, sports and news of the Northeast outdoors.
In our
magazine and on our website, you’ll find feature stories
that inspire people to take up their own adventures. We have
news stories and profiles about issues, people and
organizations that impact the region’s recreation and
environment. If you are interested in writing for us, check
out our
contributor’s guidelines.
Besides our stories, our links pages are the most
comprehensive directory of Northeast adventure and travel
websites in cyberspace. And our Events calendar is the
largest collection of Northeast outdoor happenings around.
